Hi! I’m Charlotte Terry, a Phonics and Reading Expert and mum of 2, with over a decade of experience in helping children develop the skills and confidence to become fluent readers.
Through Inspired Minds Learning, I’ve supported countless children in making remarkable progress in just weeks, helping them build the confidence, competence, and curiosity needed to thrive. Many parents turn to me when their child is struggling with phonics or falling behind, and time and time again, I’ve seen how the right approach can transform reading ability in a short space of time.
I founded Inspired Minds Learning to ensure that children get the expert phonics tuition they need—not just to catch up, but to excel. My structured, research-backed approach has helped children go from hesitant, reluctant readers to fluent, confident learners, all through engaging, interactive online lessons that make phonics fun and effective.

I’ve dedicated my career to transforming how children learn to read, ensuring that every child has the skills and confidence to become a fluent, enthusiastic reader.
I graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Education, followed by completing my PGCE at the University of Southampton, where I was recognised as an Outstanding teacher. Since then, I’ve worked in high-achieving schools, holding various teaching and leadership roles, including KS1 Lead in an Outstanding school overseeing the critical foundations of early literacy, ensuring that children mastered phonics and built strong reading skills that would support them for life.

Sylvie is an experienced Phase Leader and Phonics Co-ordinator, with over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience in early education. Her nurturing and caring approach helps children feel safe, supported, and ready to shine.

Zara has been teaching for over 10 years and brings a wealth of experience as an English Lead with a passion for developing children’s reading and language skills. She has a real gift for explaining things clearly and helping children feel confident and capable.

Andrea has over 20 years of teaching experience, with a strong track record of helping children pass their Phonics Screening Check with confidence. Her sessions are packed with energy, enthusiasm, and a real love for helping young learners succeed.
Charlotte
Charlotte has over 10 years of experience in the classroom, where she led targeted interventions to support children with their phonics and reading. She now brings that expertise to her tutoring, helping young learners unlock their potential with confidence.
